The Tenchekha Solar Project

A utility-scale solar PV plant using modern bifacial modules, designed to deliver reliable daytime generation into Bhutan's national grid.

Two sites

Located in Paro and Thimphu Dzongkhags, Bhutan.

Grid connection

Power is evacuated through a 33 kV connection with Bhutan Power Corporation to a new 220 kV pooling substation.

Climate impact

Solar complements Bhutan's hydropower, adding dry-season generation and supporting the nation's carbon-negative commitment.
